Through a short presentation, we provide our summary and analysis of the Union Budget 2018-19, and what it has to offer for the Technology, Media and Telecom Sectors. Please view our presentation here.
This Budget has, amongst other things
(a) placed an increased emphasis on “Digital India“;
(b) made a substantial allocation for the “Bharatnet” projected;
(c) discouraged the use of crypto-currencies, while encouraging blockchain on the other hand; and
(d) provided an impetus to the building of collaborative platforms, particularly in the Edutech space.
