Amrut Joshi

Amrut Joshi is one of India's foremost authorities on venture capital law, startup legal architecture, and impact investment — a lawyer whose 23-year career has placed him at the centre of some of the most consequential deals in India's innovation economy.

A graduate of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), he founded GameChanger Law Advisors in 2011. His practice spans the full lifecycle of venture-backed companies — from seed round structuring and ESOP frameworks to complex growth-stage financings, cross-border acquisitions, and strategic exits.

He is the sole legal counsel to Speciale Invest across more than 40 deeptech portfolio companies, and has advised global impact investors including the Global Innovation Fund on their entire Indian portfolio. He is a Consultant on Stanford University's Seed Transformation Program and an Impact Investment Fellow of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network.
